When you use the Finder tool, you provide:
- Business Profile Data: Industry, monthly volume, geography, risk flags (e.g., high dispute risk, recurring billing, etc.)
Important: The Finder tool does NOT require you to create an account or provide personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.). Your inputs are processed in real-time and are NOT stored in our databases.
1.2 Automatically Collected Data
We collect standard web analytics data:
- Usage Data: Pages visited, time on site, clicks, Finder usage patterns
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address (anonymized)
- Referral Data: Where you came from (e.g., ad campaign, social media link)
We use this data to improve the Service, understand user behavior, and measure marketing effectiveness.
1.3 Third-Party Links
When you click links to external services (e.g., payment processors, MerchantGuard), you leave our site and enter their privacy policies. We are NOT responsible for how they collect or use your data.

- Operate the Finder Tool: Generate processor recommendations based on your inputs
- Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to enhance content and tools

We DO NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

- Finder Inputs: NOT stored. Your selections are processed in memory and discarded after generating recommendations.
- Analytics Data: Retained for up to 26 months (Google Analytics default)
- Logs: Server logs are retained for 90 days for security and debugging purposes

We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Analytics: Measuring site performance and user behavior
- Referral Tracking: Identifying traffic sources (UTM parameters)
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may limit functionality. We do NOT use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Important: Since we do NOT store Finder inputs, there is no personal profile data to access or delete. Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be tied back to individuals.

MerchantGreat is NOT intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.
9. International Users
Our Service is hosted in the United States. If you access MerchantGreat from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
